DIY Wooden Halloween Sign

This simple craft is the perfect last-minute addition to your Halloween decor. It is especially nice to have hanging outside to greet the trick-or-treaters.

Materials:

  •  Twine thread
  • Wooden slab (for crafting)
  • Acrylic paint
  • Hot glue
  • Duct tape
  • Googly eyes

Instructions:

Draw the outline of your desired Halloween phrase, we chose "Hocus Pocus."

Then, paint inside your outline, adding any Halloween-y motifs you like. To add extra spookiness to this craft we glued googly eyes inside each letter o—the same can be done in any letter containing a closed circle.

Hot glue the twine to the back of the wooden sign. Once dried, lift the sign from the twine sting and if you notice a lot of tension, adding ducktape over the hot glue can help add sturdiness.

Have a safe and happy Halloween!
