Thrifting Cottagecore Anthropologie Dupes
Anthropologie is an American retailer operating in the U.S., Canada, France, Germany and the UK that sells clothing, jewelry, home furniture, decorations, and more. Their home decor is particularly interesting to us at the Cozy Cottage who love all things cottagecore.
I went to my local thrift store on a mission to see if I could find any Anthropologie dupes. Listed below are what I found.
2. Anthropologie is famous for its floral, cutesy ceramic vases. The thrift store I visited was full of similar, if not kitschier dupes like this rose-topped ceramic vase.
3. I am in love with the patterns on this "Bibi Stoneware Nut Bowl" from Anthropologie. Because this Arts and Crafts Movement type design is quite timeless I knew without hesitation I would be able to spot a ceramic with a very similar style at the thrift store.
4. Anthropologie's gardening accessories have very classic cottagecore garden styles. In general copper watering cans can be easily found at thrift stores. This is another accessory I could imagine being filled with dried plants as interior decoration.
5. I have been obsessed with napkin rings offered at Anthropologie and I almost gasped when I saw these wild Iris flower ceramic napkin rings hidden away on the shelf.
7. When you are lucky enough to find many cute wicker and picnic baskets at the thrift store that are still in good shape you just have to get one to emulate those cottagy Anthropologie vibes.
8. Another reason I just love Anthropologie ceramics is the fact that their designs are reminiscent of something that a cute old grandma would display in her hutch. I particularly love the Faye Dessert Plates for the fun fruits and veggies in the corner of the plate. Kitschy fruit plates can definitely be found in thrift stores but I don't doubt that their cuteness makes them fly off the shelves.
9. This dupe for the Lou Rota Mother Nature Dinner Plate is almost identical and seems to be directly inspired by the Antique Limoges Fine China Roses Plates.
10. This woven bamboo tray is a rare find at the thrift store and really looks like something you can find at Anthropologie.
11. Anthropologie's nature-patterned creamers are another thing you can find dupes for at the thrift store.
12. The Inez Jewelry Holder from Anthropologie is truly one of a kind so of course an exact dupe would be hard to find. But wooden organization boxes like these are very easy to find at the thrift and one could turn it into a DIY project and paint on the little designs on the side of the Inez Jewelry Holder.
13. I love how Art Nouveau this Floral Candelabra from Anthropologie is, the only problem is the price. I really did not think I would come across a dupe for this but the Thift Gods were smiling down on me and I spotted this beautiful gold rose candelabra on the top shelf at the store.
14. Colourful, clear glass plates have also been Anthropologie favourites of mine, like the Green Frosted Doily Plate. The thrift store I was at had these darling teal clear glass plates with the cutest apple design.
15. Okay, one more example of a creamer dupe. This Katerina Creamer is perchance the only thing I would splurge on at Anthropologie. Still, ivory, or cream-coloured creamers are easy thrift finds.
