Easy Oat Protein Bites
Looking for a great, protein-rich snack? Look no further because our Easy Oat Protein Bites, packed with hearty ingredients and 3.5 grams of protein, are sure to keep you energized throughout the day.
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp of water
- 1 tbsp of ground flax seeds
- 3 tbsp of maple syrup
- 3 tbsp of almond butter
- 1 cup of oats
- 2 squares of dark chocolate (optional)
Steps:
1. Preheat your oven to 350ºF.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread out the oats on the pan. Bake your oats for 3-5 minutes, or until lightly toasted.
3. While your oats are in the oven, in a small bowl, combine the ground flax seeds and water, and let sit for 5 minutes.
4. After five minutes, combine the maple syrup, almond butter, oats, and flax mixture in a medium bowl. Stir until well combined.
5. Portion out 1 tablespoon disks of the oat mixture and place onto the same baking tray. You should have around 12 disks. Bake your bites in the oven for 5-10 minutes, or until dry to the touch.
6. Once cooled, you can melt two squares of dark chocolate and drizzle it on the bites, but that is optional.
Note: The bites can be stored at room temperature for up to one week in an air-tight container. We strongly suggest you store them in the refrigerator after one week.
