DIY Autumn Harvest Wreath

-- Video Tutorial to follow --

The fall season is all about new beginnings and self-growth. What better way to celebrate the change of colours and crisper weather than by taking some time to make your own Autumn Harvest Wreath. This budget-friendly DIY is sure to bring warmth and comfort into your home this fall season.

What you will need:

  • A metal wreath form
  • Metal craft wire
  • Pliers
  • Electrical tape
  • Wire cutters
  • Fake flowers and leaves of your choice
  • Decorative acorns

Note: To make this craft more budget-friendly we opted to buy large bunches of fake flowers which we then separated with wire cutters. However, the craft can be completed just as well, if not faster, with the use of individual fake flowers.

Instructions:

Before you begin, gather fake flowers, leaves, and natural elements that match your desired fall or autumn harvest aesthetic.

1- Cut the fake flowers to your desired length and set aside

2- Once completed, neatly wrap each exposed wire with electric tape

3- Start by placing your leaves and flowers on the wire form and secure with a cut piece of metal craft wire at desired placement.

4- Continue to add flowers and leaves until the wreath looks complete and is at your desired fullness.

5- Include some acorns, twigs or other decorative elements into your wreath. Place them where there are gaps between your florals to add texture and depth.

6- Making the wreath should take you around 2.5/3 hours, so put on a comforting movie and craft.

7- Once your wreath is done be sure to fold any poking wires to avoid any danger.

8- Finally, place it on a door or wall by hanging it on a hook or tying a piece of twine to secure safely.
